Crafted from American ash and engineered wood with ash veneers, the wood is kiln-dried for strength and long-term stability. The finish is built in several steps. Wire brushing draws out the natural ash grain, glazing adds depth and richer color, and a final dusty wash gives the surface a softly worn, vintage character, as if the piece has been part of the home for years.
Underneath, closely spaced plywood slats and six heavy-duty center support legs spread weight evenly and let the mattress breathe. It fits most standard mattresses with no box spring required, supports up to 700 lbs, and leaves 6 inches of clearance below for easy cleaning.
